Northwestern Livery

OK, I see these locos all the time on a road that runs south from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, along the west bank of the Mississippi River. It's UP track, formerly Texas and Pacific.

QUESTIONS: Likeable colors, but why? Is paint so expensive? Is Louisana so cool?

CN&W was merged into the UP last year. You will see ex-CN&W locs all over the UP system.

The C&NW unit is now owned by UP, as UP bought C&NW last year. You can now see these things running on UP trains anywhere on the UP system.
